Its replacement as resident long-term Ram is this all-black 2010 even though we still do Ram 2500 Laramie Mega Cab 4x4 with the optional Cummins diesel. The recall began on March 27, 2017. An unusual feature for a Dodge or, for that matter, any car, was the standard on Laramie electric steering wheel heater, which quickly and fairly evenly warmed the wheel on cold days. Also, despite the transmission being fairly slick shifting, it could really use an extra gear for highway cruising, especially when pulling a load and when traversing hills, as it sometimes feels as if the Hemi is freewheeling, especially at lower speeds.
