No new codes, approx 500kms driven since then. The dealership took most of the week to fix it, eventually replacing the fuel pump. They say that it is a common, known mechanical issue with the years and models. I was told it was fine. The mechanics that we've spoken to at the Ford dealership are aware of these issues. I also really like having some controls on the steering wheel. This has happened a total of 3 times now and we have hired a lemon law attorney and Ford refused any negotiation.
My son in law went to turn it in, the guy refused to give him a paper stating it was being turned in but my sil managed to get a video recording with the guy stating his name. Follow the steps in this video to see how to fix minor coolant antifreeze leaks in your 2009 Ford Focus. And when I called the dealership they told me that I didn't need to pay out of pocket for the tow because I am still covered under warranty. They care more about their greed selfish lives than caring for the consumer. First, we have dealt with the jerky, hesitating transmission, which has had numerous recalls, but never corrected.
To top it off, we had previously owned a 2003 Ford Expedition, which died at least four times while I was driving on the highway. Strangely enough, the price also started to go up at the same time. Same issues that are going on with the automatics are going on with manual cars. In fact, it could be months before I would receive them. I actually find it almost impossible to turn the crank while driving because it takes too much time. I wish my chair could be raised a bit higher.
The car was running when I took the car into the dealership for the coolant repairs the very within 2 days car stopped running and had it towed. Took seats out to add room. Everyone that has riden in the car is suprised about how nice it is. If I had to recommend a starter car for anyone starting out, until the Ford Motor Company does something with the transmission issues, I highly do not advise anyone to buy this vehicle. Ford extended the problem up to 100k miles.
I cannot afford the transmission repairs for the dealership has gladly told me almost 3000. I would love to hear back out there on what troubles consumers are having with their 2012 models. My transmission stalls and flutters when shifting gears and has since it was brand new 3 years ago. They are fully aware of the radio defect and as such should correct the issue without cost! I'm in the car over 2 hours a day and it's extremely comfortable. This is not a coincidence.
If you ignore a small coolant leak long enough, you will run out of coolant, which leads to an overheated engine and other serious, but highly avoidable, problems. There are reports of nausea, headaches, and even carbon mo. Although either of these engines can last for over 200K miles, there have been numerous reported problems. If that's the case, keep our abacus moving by over at CarComplaints. The colors, the features, the reliability and safety of this car are my favorites. So obviously there has been problems and Complaints. I took it back 5 days after picking it up as the transmission didn't feel right.
After that it drove better; so I thought a few months later I took the car back and I'm told they just need to reset the clutch. About 4 months after driving the brand new car, it started to shake. I'm happy with the choice I made. I was leaving for Florida, so they kept the car for 2 ½ weeks, Came back, told me they heard no noise. I would like to see a recall done on the 2012 model as well.
Could barely get it into gear and it made a terrible shaking and jerking noise. I'm happy to report, that a year down the road and there's no issue with the parts I installed. It had 1 previous owner. They finally settled out of court for 6K. Original review: June 20, 2018 I've had nothing but good experiences with this car. The latest is the transmission shudders a lot.
