Note that the nut closest to the fire wall is difficult to get to…it is hidden behind wiring. After trying for over 2 hours to assemble these parts in their location , I was unsuccessful and decided to modify the locking mechanism. March 5, 2016 Followup from the Pelican Staff: Thanks for the additional info and feedback. They rot from the inside and will probably break off inside the head when you pull it off. The rear tab that used to hold an O-2 sensor connector will need to be bent out of the way to clear a fuel rail mounting point on M50 manifold. While space and access is difficult, it is not impossible. You can pick up a used manifold from a 1992-1995 E36 325i or a 1995 M3 3. People claim a torque loss under 4K rpm but I have noticed nothing but gains all across the rev range. Nothing is more irritating than dropping a bolt into the engine bay, never to find it again!
