Even though I went through the procedure described in the R owner's manual for setting the angle that the passenger side mirror should adopt while engaging reverse, it still doesn't work. This is starting to make sense. I'm not sure the specifics of that feature but I believe powered seats fulfill that requirements so I haven't had a problem. So when I put the car in reverse, the mirror turns left, for example, instead of down. I didn't set mine up dynamically, and often adjust it whilst reversing if I've moved my seat position.
